Caniço de Baixo is a charming fishing village and home to the Four Views Oasis Hotel. It is a quiet and tranquil area blessed with a mild climate all year round. A popular residential area for Madeirans, this location enjoys the best of both worlds; wonderful nature is all around you and also there are several excellent restaurants and bars to discover.

Caniço centre is more populated and is just a short drive or ride away on the public bus (the stop is across the street from the hotel). The more energetic may walk through the levadas, steep as they are, where the views are absolutely breathtaking. Once you reach the centre, the town atmosphere can be felt immediately with its many shops, excellent restaurants, church and supermarkets.

Near the hotel there are also several diving centres, a public beach and a private one that can be enjoyed for a small fee, having plenty of facilities such as changing rooms, restaurant, a sea water swimming pool and of course direct access to the sea.

Funchal, the capital of Madeira is just a short trip away. An excellent choice for a great day out!
